George grew up in Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece.
He graduated from high school in 1978 and received a degree in Business and Tourism from T.E.I (Technological & Educational Institute) in 1991.
Served his two years of army duty from October 1991 until September 1993.
He also worked for L’Oreal Paris as a sales supervisor from early 1984 until he immigrated to Toronto, Canada in the summer of 1989. He is a taxpayer since without interruptions.
He attended George Brown College and holds a T.S.S.A certificate of qualification as “Refrigerator Operator “A” class and Refrigeration Mechanic.
George worked for 23 years as the Chief Operating Engineer at Q.M.P – T.A.L until the company went out of business in May 2014.
He is the President of the Thessalonikean Society of Toronto for the last four years.
He is the Chair of Public Relations for the Hellenic Canadian Congress of Ontario and Vice President of the Hellenic Canadian Federation of Ontario, Charitable and Educational Foundation.
He is also the V. P of Administration & Public Relations for the Canadian Hellenic Congress.
His passions away from work include basketball, reading and community involvement.
He was a candidate for the 2014 Municipal Elections in Ward 31 (Beaches – East York) and finished second after the incumbent collecting over three thousand votes.
His wife Tasy and George, raised their kids with strong family values. The oldest (Zak) is a fifth year University student and the younger (Nicholas) is graduating high school this year.
